Wildcat News- Home School Connection, week 33

talent show

Hello Wildcats,

A big thank you to our amazing PTC for organizing a fun spring dance for our students on Friday. What a wonderful way to to celebrate our last day before spring break. We hope your family enjoys a well-deserved time to rest, recharge, and spend time together. Breaks are also a great opportunity to find a healthy balance between relaxation and maintaining simple routines and responsibilities.

We encourage students to continue building their reading stamina by going on a “book adventure.” Choose a book to enjoy and set aside time each day to read. Keeping up with small learning habits can make a big difference when we return, especially as we continue state testing after the break.

Here are a few fun ways to keep learning going:

  • Reading Adventure: Visit the library, create a cozy reading spot, or set a daily reading goal.
  • Real-Life Math: Have your child help with cooking, shopping, or planning a day trip to practice math skills in real-world ways.
  • Writing & Reflection: Encourage your child to keep a short journal, write about their day, or create a story about their spring break experiences.

Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready to learn!

Each year, Mission Valley Selpa has a Special Education Recognition Award for staff members who have supported our SpEd population. If you would like to nominate a staff member, please use this LINK: Special Education Recognition Award  NOMINATIONS
